2009 Qashqai driver's window stuck open

    Hi folks,

The drivers window in my 2009 Qashqai has failed in the open position, I presume the regulator is knackered but I cannot remove the plate that the regulator is connected because the glass is down, presumably stuck in the glides,

Any ideas to get the glass backup but there are only two small holes by which to access the glass and I cannot get anything on it to move the glass.

You need to figure out what is broken, is there any noises when you try and lower the window? If the regulator cable etc has snapped then you should be able to push the glass down by hand, if its the motor then can disassemble and lower it by manually turning the gears

Can you put a suction cup on the window and pull upwards as someone else operates the button in the up direction?

I can hear the motor working but the window doesn't budge and unfortunately it stuck open which seems to make it impossible to remove the regulator panel

    Not enough window showing unfortunately.

Drill out the 4 pop rivets. This will remove the plate but leave the lifter in place.

Seems you need to remove the bolts at top of door also

Yep removed bolts, although it still wont come out with the glass down, managed to get enough upward motion to grab the glass and pull it up, on further inspection its the plastic pins within the regulator spindle that have snapped so have ordered a repair kit and if need be will order a full regulator kit if that doesnt work.
