Tax it using a RF111 form.

In the 'Other' box in section 4 write 'Vintage' and fill in the rest or leave blank as applicable.

The below is a general 'signature' and not part of any post:

FYI, if you move to a 'smart' meter electricity plan, you CAN'T move back to a non-smart plan.

You don't have to take a 'smart' meter if you don't want one, opt-out is available.

Buy drinks in 3L or bigger plastic bottles or glass bottles or cartons to avoid the DRS fee.

Public transport user? If you're sick of phantom ghost services on the 'official' RTI sources, check bustimes.org for actual 'real' RTI, if it's on their map it actually exists.

you can't unless it's currently taxed.

How long is the registration in your name?

you can SORD it straight away then without changing the class...have to be quick though, you only get a short time to do it.

"If you have just bought a new vehicle or just acquired a second hand one and do not intend to use it immediately, you will have 21 days from the date of purchase (as specified in the registration document or the notification of transfer of vehicle ownership) to furnish a declaration of non-use."

Ye, as above, declare it off the road now and only worry about changing it to vintage tax when actually taxing it.
