TV without Tuner

Does anyone know if these exist within reach? TV sets that are not technically a TV set. Something like this:

    https://www.lifewire.com/vizio-eliminates-tuners-on-many-tvs-4023105

I know I could use a monitor, but usually they only go up to about 23".

Problem is, I only use my TV set for PS3/Chromecast/Netflix/Amazon Prime, and I don't want to pay for a TV license. It's not even so much about the 160 / year, but more so about the principal of it.

Any recommendations would be appreciated. Looking for something => 40".

Doesnt matter if it has a tuner if its capable of displaying video its a tv and needs a licence.

"television set" means any electronic apparatus capable of receiving and exhibiting television broadcasting services broadcast for general reception ( whether or not its use for that purpose is dependent on the use of anything else in conjunction with it ) and any software or assembly comprising such apparatus and other apparatus.

If it doesn't have a tuner its not "capable of receiving and exhibiting television broadcasting services broadcast for general reception"

( whether or not its use for that purpose is dependent on the use of anything else in conjunction with it ) covers that bit though?

Philips, Acer, and Asus, all have 30+ sceens up to 40/43. After that all large format monitors are 65 and up. Only problem for you is that you're not likely to get one in a shop here so online only. Also while you can get a 55" TV in a supermarget for next to nothing, large monitors are a more premium product so there's no bargin basement version at those sizes.

Personally would wait as a lot of new ones are coming out. Right now for about €600 you can get a 43" Philips

Ignore anyone saying you need a license for for a monitor, you don't. Unless you also get a satellite box/saorview box/virgin/vodafone in which case you would require it just for the box then.

That's not what it means - what it means is if you have a sky box, saorview box, a tuner in your PC etc...you need a licence
