Unsolicited email from company employee

    Not looking for legal advice.

I received an email from an employee of a company I had made a complaint to.

This person was included in the complaint (their attitude), but was not a recipient of it.

They emailed my personal non work email (where the original complaint was mailed from) from their non work email and referenced the complaint (effectively complaining to me about me complaining about them).

This person may have accessed my email from the company system.

In terms of data protection and GDPR. What breaches have occurred?

Sounds like you are, in fact, looking for legal advice.

So the person who you sent the complaint too then forwarded your email directly to the person you complained about, who then subsequently has responded to you on the topic of this same complaint.

    Is that correct?

    Possibly.

I’ve no way of telling. However the person who mailed me would have access to customer records.

Moderator: These are the same thing.

The definition of legal advice is set out in the forum charter. Please read the charter before posting again.
