I see the guidelines were '' work from home 'where possible unless it is absolutely necessary to be on site and there was a sep 13th deadline for this advice .

Now my manager wants the entire office back next week?

Would it still be against health advice?

We can and have been fully remote since March

Has the 13th of Sep changed or are we supposed to go back?

Does your manager realise that the office still needs to adhere to social distancing? Having an office at full capacity while ensuring social distancing is something most offices wouldn't be capable of achieving.

I'm not sure on the official guidance aspect but I would be surprised if that isn't extended fro Dublin given the way things or going.

We sit on 4 computers per table and no guards.

We will be able to spread our some staff but there will be 60 people back with 1 little kitchen and toilet(2) but our old fashioned manager is eager to have everyone back and keeps saying we will be able to social distant and the 13th of sep is up. I'm not so sure and neither are majority of staff about the reality of us all social distancing.

Some of my colleagues are simply refusing to return on the basis the entire office will be on site but they are willing to stagger it and work half team in and half the team out but our manager isn't accepting.

I feel she needs to speak to our external HR company and get advice. It's beyond my remit nor experience

    I'm at a loss

Sounds to me like your manager has done naff all for 6 months and thinks everyone else is the same. AFAIK offices must adhere to social distancing and that advice has not changed, so therefore everyone must be at least 2m apart, one way systems where possible etc. Your manager sounds like a tool, especially if you’re able to do your job at home!

They’ve extended the advice to the 15th when they will announce their new strategy for living with the virus.

2 toilets for 60 staff? There should be at least 1 toilet and sink for approx every 15 since before Covid
