not been able to talk to the people who run my course yet so couldn't ask them what they recommend so rather than waiting i thought id ask here.

the course is Computer Forensics & Security. so programming and that stuff is obviously big in it, would i need a big fancy laptop or would a cheap one do? don't want to make the mistake of being cheap and then paying for it down the line.
