    Hi All

I am to be gifted a 5 year old fireplace. When it was being taken out the top mantel had the corner broken off, can this be glued back on? It is a granite fireplace.

    Thanks

Don't see why, if it fits absolutely perfectly, it should not be superglued back into place. I just broke a piece off a pottery decoration as I fixed it to the wall, spot of superglue and some very careful work screwing it to the wall, and its perfect. Marble should be a better join than pottery I would think. The difference between a perfect join and an almost join is very subtle, make sure it absolutely fits invisibly when you put the broken piece back.
