    It is like a pop rivet, but threaded where the nail would be.

    It comes with a 4mm (about) bolt.
    Like a pop rivet, you drill a hole for it. Insert it and tighten the bolt to expand the threaded part tightly in the hole. Remove the bolt and you are left with a sort of captive nut that you can bolt whatever you like to.

    thats actually really handy if you wanted to bond multiple sheets of metal plating together and bolt/screw them to something.
