Lawnmower carburetor leaking fuel

Hi all, My Briggs and Stratton ride on lawn mower engine is leaking fuel at the carburetor. I had noticed a big loss in power before this leak. Also, the engine seemed to be overheating and the blades would not engage until I let it cool down during the last few cuts Any suggestions on a fix please?

Have you removed the carb and checked any gaskets for damage? Have you checked that the float in the carb is operating correctly?

Nothing done yet .. But that is the plan for tomorrow unless someone suggests a quicker fix! Thanks for the reply!
