So will you support this scheme?

" This credit will give taxpayers a rebate of up to €125 for a single person or €250 for a married couple when the taxpayer spends over €625 (or €1,250 for married couples) on accommodation, food and non-alcoholic drinks between 1st October 2020 and April 2021. "
It seems as well as tax clearance and Bord Failte clearance you also need a marriage cert or else there will be VAT payable at the point of entry

The Airport...where you could easily spend €625 on ham sandwiches and cans of Lilt.
    Happy Holiday!

Went to a hotel recently for a meal with a few friends, it was a miserable experience from start to finish. The company I was in was fine. It was the protocols etc that made it miserable. I won't be repeating it. I'll hang on to my cash and travel aboard in October.

Well at the moment i'm not gonna spend €625 in order to get €125 back just to sit in my hotel room.

When the hotel bars fully reopen etc then yeah.

So spend €625 per person to get a slot for breakfast and dinner and then sit in your room when it inevitably rains?

There's more comfort at home, thanks.

We're doing Centre Parcs in March, just saved us 250quid

We were due to go in April but it was cancelled, then Sept and we cancelled it so pushed it back to March, upgraded to the top tier package (luxury 2floor lodge, hot tub, sauna, steam room, games room), that cost an extra 500 for the 4 nights, 8 of us going, that extra 500 is now only an extra 250
