Contract query

    Looking for some advice.

I've worked part time for about 18 months in a job upto February, and since March I've been full time, in the same role. I've been asking for my contract to be updated and I've only received it this week.

The new contract talks about a new probationary period. I've gotten on well there so surprised to see that included.

Can a new probationary period be introduced when my hours change?

It's probably just a template.. Ask them to remove it. Prob not a big deal if they don't.

If you've been with them over a year, they cannot introduce a probationary period, even if it was a new role. It's just a template contract and I'm sure it could even be ignored, but it correct to ask to have it removed.

Common practice where I work too. I was contracting 2 years, got made permanent and 6 months probation then. I wouldn't worry about it, I presume it's a multi national.
