Repair torn wallpaper?

How would you repair this corner?
Wallpaper seems pretty thick, like maybe it's been papered over a few times through the years and lastly painted over.
The very corner of the paper doesn't meet the actual corner of the wall.

-I was thinking the exposed paper bit either needs to be removed or maybe primered first? Would a coat of PVC glue or white glue do the job?
-Glue the loose paper bit to the wall.
-Skim the whole corner to try and match the thickness of the paper.
    -Primer and then paint.

HOw good a finish do you want?

If its going to be exposed then you need to strip it all or get the wall skimmed.
If its going to be hidden then you can get away with removing the loose stuff, polybond the whole wall and then prime/paint.

But you will see the differences so this only works if it will be hidden away and you just want it "clean".

Polybond the whole area (around the doorway into kitchen) or just the bit that needs repairing?

You could draw a level line in the wall paper and strip all wallpaper below that line. Then fill and sand any imperfections, paint the whole wall and add a border to separate the wallpapered part from the painted wall part.
