    Look at wyze cameras
They started making outdoor ones or you can buy housing for indoor ones you can put outside

Not a fan of the Nest external cameras, not least because they have to be wired via long USB cable back to a power-socket. I'd sooner get the EufyCam 2C (https://www.eufylife.com/products/604/security). That said, I'm expecting three Wyze Camera Outdoor (WCO) via AddressPal from the US so I'll try them first. They do have limitations (12sec recording, 3month max battery-life, for example) and they're not pitched as "security" cameras due to the limitations. That said, they'll do the job that I need.

Putting a WyzeCam V2 (indoor camera) in a case and sticking it outdoors isn't ideal. It would also be tethered by USB cable, its IR LEDs aren't strong enough for outdoors. There are plenty of examples on Youtube of these working quite satisfactorily, but it's not ideal.
