Full launch today and pre-orders now open at the nice price of €2065 on the Irish site for September 29th delivery (UK 15th). Mystic Black, and Mystic Bronze - 4 different hinge colours.


They really have made huge improvements since the original fold. The front screen is much larger, the camera housing is gone, 'flex mode' for any angles, 120Hz, the 'app continuity' for screen opening to closing, bigger battery, faster charging etc.

All purchases included a free screen replacement within the 1st year with new Z premium service.

Bite the bullet and taking a chancer on this, after hoding off on 1st gen one. Do note Samsung IE take momey straight up, i went with Note 10 400e trade in as worse case wont be paying that until end of Sept and can sell or keep Note 10 in meantime.

Seems like a great devices, but that price sucks, when you consider no SD card support, 256GB not 512GB like last years had,
No Buds or case included this time around, they really treating it as if they made it when its more a Demo Model 2.

Either way love tech and looking forward to it.

Got Vodafone Upgrade ready at mo, Note 20 Ultra 450e, tenmpted to get it and sell it to offset some of the cost.
Be better if Vodafone simply were stocking the Fold 2.

On a plus, its seems much more high end, less plastic, 2 (or 3) great screens, Flex hinge is a charger compared to last years too, holding in any position and i think outside screen will me selfies etc much easier as will flex mode to take pics, will me the S pen though.

Looking forward to 1-2 week in reviews now and if any warnings can cancel id pursume on Samsung IE if you call in.

2065 quid and max trade-in is 500 for an S20
I would wait for the offers that include watch and earbuds to start.

€800 trade-in for the Fold 1 is quite decent

I think it has improved in the key areas where it needed too.
The 256GB is not a deal breaker but annoying sure. China is the only region to get 512GB edition.
