Having a thymus gland removed in the coming weeks , it’s between your lungs so they have to cut open my chest bone to get at it similar to heart surgery . Anyone here have similar operation experiences in recent times , recovery etc ??

Had cardiac surgery. First 5 days was tough but was showering on my own after day 4.
I was discharged after 10 days.

There was an older man a day ahead of me in recovery. I just looked at him to know what I could do next day.
