    Hi,

Just wondering how anyone who bought a house in Castlefield Hall is getting on.

Anything to note about the development?

If you bought one of the semi-detached houses, how's the sound proofing between you and your neighbour?

Resident here since mid-2019. Phase 2 is moving at a pace, looks like the first row of houses are completed fully on the outside so probably only a matter of 2-3 months before they launch and the showroom is open.

Regarding soundproofing, I am in a semi-d and we can't hear a peep from next door through the walls. A bit of noise from outside, but as someone who is sensitive to noise at night, it has never been a problem at all.

So far our only gripe has been with the previous builder not finishing off his part of the estate properly in regards to landscaping. There is a nice big green space, but there's not a tree in sight and many of the grass verges outside houses weren't finished well. There's also a lot of graffiti left on the parameter wall that should have been removed. The management company won't touch any of this and claim it's the builders job, despite the estate paying them quite a bit each year. I understand the council will take over from the management company when phase 2 is complete and we'll have more sway on getting things done.

Overall, very happy, it's a nice quiet estate with lots of young respectable families.
