Lost all saorview channels, can't retune them.

So for the past year I've been getting all the saorview channels through a Lloytron Amplified Digital TV Antenna - model A3103BK, on a Samsung smart v. Last week they all disappeared, I try to autotune them and nothing comes through. It was a very simple process the first time, but I can't figure out what has changed now.

I called Saorview who told me they only support roof aerials so were not able to help me, but said there was no issues in the area or hadn't been recently.

    Any ideas?

That gadget has a mains adapter, have you checked that the DC feed is plugged in i.e. it didn't accidently get yanked out?

Which transmnitter are you getting the signal from?

If you have nearby neighbours try to find out if they are using indoor aerials. Check to see what transmitter you should be seeing, and if you can, do individual scans on the two channels / frequencies. Move the antenna if you can to point it in the direction of the transmitter. See if there is any signal strength reading if you have a menu for that.

Perfect pictures do not necessarily mean strong signals. You might have lost just a little bit of signal, to change from perfect to no picture.

    signal from Kippure.

Kippure transmitter was scheduled for maintenance last week.

Have you tried a manual tune?

 The last planned outage posted at https://twitter.com/2rnNMC was for Clermont Carn on July 12th.

Saorview website says said Kippure was scheduled for short outages on 27th and 28th August.
    Planned Service Interruptions

    27 August 2020

    Achill, Mayo
Due to engineering works, the Achill transmitter will be subject to an outage of up to three hours duration between 09:00 and 17:00 on 26th August 2020.

    Kippure, Wicklow
Due to maintenance work, services from Kippure will be subject to interruptions between 21:00 on 27th August and 03:00 on 28th August 2020.

    Kippure, Wicklow
Due to engineering work, a 3 minute break in transmission will occur at 12:00 on 27th August 2020.

    Maghera, Clare
Due to maintenance work, services from Maghera will be subject to a complete outage between 00:05 and 06:00 on 28th August 2020.
Cached version as they updated the page since yesterday...
    http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:https://www.saorview.ie/en/news/list/category/service-updates

...and Aertel page 169 says (as of now anyway) that Kippure was scheduled for complete outage on 26/27th August 10pm to 4am affecting all Saorview and FM services.

Anyway something happened at Kippure last week and it could just have affected signal enough to cause an indoor aerial's reception to fall below the threshold required by TV tuner...or else a retune should get channels back.

So looks like 2RN have partially or totally abandoned their communications to the general public and handed the job to Saorview.

Edit: looks like the twitter account took 6 weeks off, they were back online yesterday with three notices. But the outages from last week noted by poster Ten Pin in the post above were not announced by the 2RN account on Twitter.
