I smashed the price into 4/1 from 9/2 with my Euro 4 bet.

The sire of Not So Silly is Scissor Kick, and Australian sprinter standing as a sire at Haras d'Etreham, Normandy.
Scissor Kick's first runners in Europe are running this year as 2yos, and have been getting many places at 7f and 8f, which are long distances for 2yos. His first winner last week was at 8f, and today's winner was at 9f.

My filly (see Taking The Plunge thread) is by Scissor Kick.
I realised in the last few weeks that although Scissor Kick ran as a sprinter (most Australian horses run sprint distances) on pedigree he is probably a middle distance horse. His full brother Sharkbite was genetically tested and is a middle distance horse.

Scissor Kick's dam is by the English Derby winner, Quest For Fame, who won three big races at 12f. And her dam is by Niniski, who won the Irish and French St Legers.

Not So Silly was 5th in his previous race, 8f at Vichy, on good/soft, closing at the finish.

Indeed Scissor Kick himself has a 12f pedigree with a dosage index of 0.89 and Beatisa has a DI of 1.29. The resultant progeny from the match had a DI of something like 0.89 or 0.69 when it was up on PQ.

With Scissor Kick's sire Redoute's Choice having already produced stayers like Enbihaar and Sevenna Star it appears that you have an Oaks prospect on your hands, if only you could secure the services of John Gosden :)
