I didn't see a thread so here goes.

    Thoughts on today folks?

    Green jersey for Sagan?

And a bit of a rookie question from me but how do they decide to categorise as flat? I see the route today has a few hills, is it that they are not grade 1 or 2?

    Here's the route.

Could see Sagan try and drop some of the faster men on the climbs before the intermediate sprint, if a big breakaway has not gotten away

I'd hope to see Sam survive to the finish of this one.

I think Kristoff will hold onto the Green Jersey today, but with a reduced points lead.
For the stage, Sam to beat Ewan in a bunch sprint.
Julian, Alan and Philip to retain Yellow.

De Gendt looks like he wants away for the day here, taking up his familiar spot along side the commissaire car.

EDIT: Nope he's sat back in the bunch. I'd say Cosnefroy is peeved Perez has the break too :D

6 km to go. All set for a big bunch sprint. Pressure on Sam

absolute monster of a sprint from Ewan.

    Better man won. No excuses

Thought he was going to take it, very impressive from Ewan in all fairness.

Should've won that. He had first run on CE. I know the winner was impressive but that was a golden opportunity. Without a brilliant lead out again mind. Good, but not great.

The speed ewan flew past them all was unreal

That was unreal manoeuvrey from Ewan.

A bit naughty from Bennett. You'd be DQd if that were a horse race.

Anyone else find watching sprint stages hoping for Sam to win ridiculously stressful?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,998 ✭✭✭c.p.w.g.w

Did the exact same happen during a tour in Belgium already this season with Caleb & Sam

Intermediate sprint is early tomorrow as well...he should be up the road in a break. No doubt Sagan will.

Might Sam face some disciplinary action for his move there at the end?

Here is the Birds Eye view. Ewans passing of Sagan along the barriers is frightening
