I cant seem to find the simple answer to this, I've had a phone on a 2yr bill pay contract which ended last month. I'd like to now switch providers, do I contact the new network provider or do i need anything from my current one?
    Thanks!

    New provider handles the switching/porting.

Current provider will issue a final bill up to date of porting.

Get an unlock code from current provider before doing anything else.

If switching to Gomo, it would be advisable not to port your number immediately. Ask current provider to move number to PAYG which will allow keeping the number without paying a bill.

Thanks for that. Yeah it was gomo I'm thinking of switching to, bills are coming in too high with Vodafone. I've not looked into other options but thanks for that advice and help!
