Just bought this car on Friday. Parking sensor system working fine until Saturday evening.

So on Saturday I tried to charge my phone and discovered no power to the 12V cigarette sockets in front, in rear and in boot.

Went to fuse boards having looked at the handbook and found the fuses to be good.

Then I checked all fuses by removing each one( I hadn't got a test light at that stage)

After doing that . Parking system not working and no response to on off button on the dash and the system is greyed out on the MMI- which it was't before.

I am afraid I have blown the module as part of my investigations.

This evening I went with a test light and checked each side of each and every fuse. All showed fine. Also all sockets in the fuse boards (either side of dash) and in boot that have a metal socket piece have a good fuse in place. i.e there are no fuses missing.

I don't have VCDS but would like to know if there are any other steps I should take before getting somebody involved. And the question is who is good at this kind of thing? I am based in Clontarf but can travel a bit if necessary.

    many thanks,

    Richard
