    Question about USB 2 transfer speeds (W7 i3 4Gb.)
Copying a file (Mp4 -935Mb ) from the laptop to a Micro SD card via adapter to a USB 2 port.
Speed settled at 8 MB/second. Speed seems slow for USB 2 .
Have attached image with SD spec +

    Why is it so slow?

This is not USB2 limitation. And you have this many variables there
30px-SD_Class_10.svg.png SD card min sequential write speed 10MB/s(theoretical), but who are "platinet", how much they adhere to standards and where the product come from, what cable/adapter, so on...
I would not be surprised nor put to much expectations in to it
