Nails overlays etc fake nails

    Hey.

    I was thinking about getting an overlay for my nails.

    My nails will never be naturally long its just the way they are they are weak. I heard overlays give them protection to grow long. ( i know they damage the nail underneath but well my nails are weak anyway)

    I like the look of acrylic nails when you first get them done but as your nails grow underneath you can see them as you just get refills. I don't like this. I am also concerned about bacteria and covid with acrylics. TBH i am worried about covid with overlays too.

    So i was thinking an overlay might overcome this. But i have no experience with them.

    What can you tell me?

    By an overlay i don't mean a fake nail glued on then acrylic over ...just a fake layer over your own nail and you get it refilled as your nails grow.
