Disability allowance question

    Hi all

I would like to ask what happens when you reach a year on disability allowance please.

I’m anxious as the year is up soon. Still Ill. Still complaining of pain, & my medication increased.

I should have been seeing a neurologist but cannot get near him now. I have suspected MS.
I was originally diagnosed with Graves’ disease but I was still symptomatic even when my bloods returned to normal.

On the form, my doctor had 6-12 months but this was prior to my referral. He issued a letter then to state that in his opinion my illness would persist upward of 12 months. On the appeals letter it said that I would be entitled for a period of 12 months or more.

What was the process like for you?

    Thank you.
