    BEWARE

There is a website that is targeting Irish people looking for Motorhomes

PM OP for details - website removed

They are trying to get you to pay with tempting deals and deliver to Ireland

I guess you will part with your money and never get delivery!

No place selling motorhomes at that address according to Google street view anyway. They seem to have a lot of stock and that stock seems to be very cheap.

Well spotted, hope you didn't get burned yourself.

Similar scams also with boats, at the end of the day parting with money without seeing goods is only asking for trouble.

Anyone who hands over money like that needs to get their head tested.

The address is that of a holding company, it’s accurate according to Companies House. It’s the offices of Norden Chartered Accountants. They (the campervan place) are around since 2000 also.

So,straight off the bat,you all believe a one post newbie.
There is a company registered for 20 years at companies house, and the address given is an accountants office.
I'd need a bit more evidence before condeming a business.

Fair call. But if you were selling motorhomes, would you not put on your website the address that the motorhomes were actually at? So people could come and see them? Seems odd to have the address of the holding company.

Googling them doesn't bring up a whole pile of info considering they are supposedly trading 20 years. They don't advertise on Autotrader or any other car or motorhome website. No classified ads, no recommendations on motorhome forums, nothing. Web domain was only registered in July 2020 and site is hosted in India.

Correct and right not to condemn them, but something fairly grey about them

Think I read about that or a similar company having their name hijacked by a scam website.

Believe it or not, not every company which sells to the general public is on the internet and there have been cases where a website appeared offering merchandise for sale so prospective customers found that there is such a business, it's highly reputable and in business for several years. So suitably assured, the placed an order which involved a substantial deposit and that's the last they saw of their money.
The Irish victims paid for “phantom” boats advertised on islandboats.co.uk, while others paid for camper vans and caravans which they had seen online on a second fraudulent website, caravan2009.co.uk.

There is a real company called Island Boats Ltd based in Middlesex, and islandboats.co.uk is not its website. Instead, it has traded properly and legally for more than 20 years, with a strong reputation in the field.

Meanwhile, the second company victim, Nottingham-based Caravan 2009 Limited has traded properly for more than a decade, selling caravanning accessories. This company, which sells caravan accessories, and not caravans, has never had a website.

    Domain name registered last month.
Phone number not following any UK format +448 444 876 959, also a Google of the phone number brings up nothing despite them being in business 20 years?

Do the prices not seem to good to be true ? A Few decent ones on that website for under €10,000 ... I honestly don’t think to many would purchase the likes of a camper without seeing it first...
