    Hi Guys,
looking to buy a 2010- 2012 SUV, something above a 2 litre but not into the 3.0 litre bracket that will kill me on tax.

its got to have 4X4 capability and have 5 seats at least.

I have picked out the santa fe and outlander and was wondering if any one had experience with these in terms of reliability or what to look out for

    thanks
    Reg

The sister in law got an Outlander just a few months ago and is really happy with it. Before this she had a Ford Kuga but needed more space so got the Outlander. They are a good car. Just try both cars out and pick the one you are happiest with as they should both be reliable if well looked after and serviced.

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

Outlander feels more agricultural than the Santa Fe and also feels cheaper built but used ones tend to be cheaper. Kia Sorrento is worth a look at too, mechanically identical to it's sister the Santa Fe. Reliability on any 10 year old car will depend on the individual car but with these type SUVs look for signs of a hard life and abuse especially the Outlander as they might have been used as a work horse more than a Santa Fe or Sorrento.
