    Hi,

Eir were all ready to get me connected then let me know my local exchange was full. Disappointing but I have a decent enough alternative from a company with a fixed mast setup.

Unsurprisingly, Eir have been useless in responding and letting me know what my hopes of getting Fibre in the future are. I'll have to lock myself into a contract with the new crowd so waiting for one to come free isn't much of an option. Does anybody know what the deal is here? Realistically will I have to wait years until Open Eir add another exchange...or just resign myself to the fact they may never do so?

you will need to be more clear as it may not be the 'exchange' that is full, i think its more likely FTTC (fibre to the cabinet) is full

what is available when you input your eircode at https://www.airwire.ie/index.php/avail

    Here's the email from Eir

The line has been set up to the exchange which allows you to get broadband, but at present there is no room in the exchange from there to your house, so you are not able to get broadband at the moment.

Maybe I misunderstood what he's saying, it's written in a confusing manner. That link says I can't get anything, presumably as my house is an unfinished new build right now (I have an eircode). My parents in law next door show up as eligible for fibre.
