Hey. Hoping someone can recommend a package for me. A family member is reopening a bar this week and for the first time serving food. He has an accountant but with the added business now going on he asked could I maybe organise the accounts for a few hours a week (while he will still be using his own accountant also). I'm going into third year of an accounting degree and ive done sage etc. Trying to figure out is it better if I just physically organise documents for the accountant, or get a cheap and cheerful user friendly bundle to put it together digitally.
I'm clueless so if this sounds ridiculous go gentle on me, thanks 🀣

Hi there, I hope you don’t mind me asking but - you use Quickbooks to calculate your Vat 3 Return, I’ve limited knowledge of the software so trying to figure out which report would give me these figures .

I'm not sure of that sorry. I'm sure its in there somewhere. Their customer support is very good so it would be worth giving them a shout maybe.

Any chance you could let me know what report/ steps you use in Qbooks to get the figures for the bi- monthly VAT return. We are trying to figure our way around the system. I have some knowledge of it, our bookkeeper was doing our returns but with the downturn we may need to do these ourselves to try cut costs. Thanks.
