    Hi,

If someone has submitted spouse visa application I would like to know from them.

The document for Non-EEA/EU Spouse Visa's https://www.dfa.ie/media/embassylondon/ourservices/Join-Spouse-on-Work-Permit-Visa-Checklist-v1.2-0314.pdf point number 11 asks to provide Details of your spouse’s accommodation in Ireland. Can someone advise me if they are asking to show separate accommodation that the husband will keep his wife in

    OR

are they asking general residential evidence, for example when submitting Stamp 1/1G application evidence of residence needs be submitted.

The question I'm trying to ask is whether a separate accommodation is needed when submitting application Join-Family visa application.

    Thanks

The applicant is the person living in the foreign country.
Details of “your spouse’s accommodation in Ireland” is exactly that. Where the Irish sponsor lives.
It might be an idea to send a copy of the lease and written permission, from the landlord, for another person to reside there.
This would be important if there are children involved as the accommodation should be suitable.

Thanks for reply, however sorry I failed to understand.

I stay in a sharing accommodation in 1 single room, naturally can't keep my wife here so I plan to move into a complete separate apartment but only after she has landed in Ireland otherwise I'll be paying extra for no reason.

Thats why I wanted to know if it is mandatory to have a separate accommodation for spouse visa or I just need to show my existing shared accommodation document.

    Thanks again

    Not mandatory.
Best advice is to explain the situation and your plans. You should also explain or submit proof of how you can afford a separate apartment.

Thanks for clarifying that, I had that in mind just wasn't sure how to go about it.

    Thanks again.
