Digiweb FTTH cable down

    Hi all,

Due to storm ellen last week my fibre cable has come off the telephone pole that is distributing it into my property. It is now hanging down across the driveway and obstructing traffic. My internet service is not affected. I am currently in the UK for a while, and trying to get through to digiweb has been a nightmare, as their 1918 low call number is never answered and consumes credit like crazy.

I eventually got a response to my email to them after 4 days, and was given the number 1850245424 to report a dangerous cable. But even asking the person on the phone whether this number will work from the UK, and being told yes, obviously it didnt.

Is there any other way to report this cable down, or will i have to negotiate the byzantine pathways of digiweb again??

    Any help appreciated

    Chris

    1850245424 is the correct procedure.

Dangerous plant goes directly to OpenEir repair services as its a liability risk. The OLO doesnt need to be involved. Dial before you dig kinda thing.

It doesnt appear to have a public 01-701 so have somebody you know in Ireland call it in. They don't need to be an account holder or anything, just report wires in the road with an accurate location.
