Any body on here running one of these? Whats the petrol like v diesel? Could you tow with the petrol i have read some one pulled a 1000kg caravan with one bit ambitious!

Im looking to buy something 142 up and looking for value for money and something that will last a few years without any huge maintenance on the plus side i do the servicing etc myself. I dont do many miles anymore so 5-8k miles a year, im planning on buying a classic aswell so might shorten the miles per annum a bit again.my insurance drops a nice bit also and tax.

I keep seeing these id be wanted all the extras anyway no point having the poverty spec really.

What's that plastic looking round cap on the side of the rear bumper next to the wheel arch?

I reckon that was a taxi/hackney as theres a radio/meter mount beside the steering wheel, something else down beside the 12v socket, the rear seats if zoomed in look well worn and LPG conversion has probably been taken out and used in another Logan on their fleet. Otherwise the dealer would have siad it has LPG conversion.

I was thinking the same but there was no mention of LPG conversation in the advert. Obviously removed before it was flogged on this side of the Irish sea.

A huge portion of Dacias get LPG. A lot in Eastern Europe and other markets that use LPG a lot of course but something like 35% of what they sell. Plus they offer it the first place which most manufacturers don’t.

I’d agree that it was probably a taxi at some point.

Im kinda looking for input on how they drive, do they wear well, maintenance etc hoping there might be a few logan mcv owners on boards, im not going to buy that logan it is more of an example of what im lookin at ie 1L petrol but i could be swayed towards a diesel.

Well I suppose racking up 130k miles in 5 years is testament to reliability I suppose.

I wouldnt use a .9 tce to tow anything substantial though.

Build is apparently fine but I've heard that engine gives very poor economy.

Good points there to be fair, the diesel would probably be the best i wouldnt touch the 1.2 liter

Seats look fairly worn for a 5 year old car.
Anything Ive heard of Dacia is they do exactly what they say on the tin ie cheap, no frills reliable motoring. They seem to be putting in good service, the Duster is very popular here must be in the top 20 or so sellers.
Lots of them about so shop around for the best spec/condition/mileage.

Dacia are like ladas in the 1980s in Ireland.. Horrible and cheap but perhaps more reliable

If you look at the likes of a Renault Kangoo in terms of finish, that’s where the Dacias are. The mechanicals are off the shelf Renault drivetrains.

Agree about the Logan but the new Dacia Duster are kind of cool ,especially in orange

    Lada comparison is silly

Nothing wrong with the 1.2, I'd much prefer it to the .9L

    1.2 75hp vs .9 90hp
unless sce badge then .9 70hp i believe

I had a new (at the time) 2017 kangoo on holiday in spain as a rental in 1.5 diesel thought it was fine bit outdated on the inside but drove great i was up mountains, motorways, city driving.
