Depends what you want it for and whether you want ultrabook or powerful I guess. Have a look at the Komplett link I put in my thread looking for advice earlier today. Ryzen 4600h in your price range. Advice was it would do the trick for me but you might want to expand on what you intend to so with it to help others steer you. Only gap is it’s a 15” screen

very personal laptop I've had since 2010 has been Lenovo and most of my work laptops too. I've not encountered the issues you describe. Today I bought a thinkpad from https://www.buyitdirect.ie/

I've bought from this particular website before and customer service when one item was malfunctioning, was exemplary.

that's the same company as laptopsdirect who have quite a rubbish reputation, particularly when something goes wrong.

Ram seems to be quite slow on that capping out at 2666mhz

yes but it doesn't make that much difference at all in day-to-day usage
