This isn't the one where the anti stick surface melted onto the food is it? Sorry, but there were reports of the cheaper brands doing this and I don't want teflon on my burger!

Tower are a ****e of a company to deal with when something goes wrong. Even compulsory safety recalls are almost impossible to complete with them. Save your money for a better brand.

So far so good iv been impressed even with non stick i think other brands may be using influence-rs to down play a product. OK look at my profile to see . I'M at least a person.

For Air Fryers go Philips or go home

Have to agree, we have a Philips, its used every day for past 8 or so years, sometimes 3 to 4 times a day. all we had to replace was the basket, which just fell apart with constant use. The bottom grill was coming apart, but just replaced that part with chip grills from dealz. Thought it was on its way out about 18 months ago, so bought another in Amazon sale, its still in the press, as current one just refuses to cave in.

Fair enough but there's a huge difference in price here, the cheapest Philips one is stg136.00 compared to the stg30.00 the OP has linked.
Not comparing like with like surely?

Have this exact air fryer, it was in Lidl for €40.
It's good, cooks well and easy to clean, but compared to a family members Philips this is a toy. The food from the Philips retains much more moisture and flavour, also the tray on the Philips is better designed to cook food more evenly.
For the price the Tower is great, but if for a family then the Philips is the only choice.

Chips made in the Tower are a disappointment. Burnt in one area, raw in another - and this with near constant shuffling. However for things like salmon etc it does the job ok

    100% agree

We have the ninja one and it’s top notch, have used the Philips and the tefal and prefer the ninja overall. With the Philips there is nooks you can’t get too so it’s never 100% clean no water matter how many times you clean it. The tefal makes chips into mash sometimes. With the ninja it’s cheaper, feels more solid, easily cleaned and has more features than the other main ones. I picked it purely based on the price at the time(€100 in Argos) worth checking out if you are in the market for one, the missus uses it at least twice a day.

Picked Ninja yesterday. Very impressed with it. Made onion rings yesterday, came out very nice. Crispy on outside and soft inside.

I got a digital tower air fryer for 50 euro on Black Friday nearly 2 years ago. Still going strong and very happy with it.

If cooking a bundle of chips of course have to shake half way through for an even cook but that's expected I think.

I find the best way to cook chips is to remove the basket a third of the way through and tip the chips into an empty saucepan, then empty the chips back into the basket .
Repeat 2 thirds of the way through.
Chips are cooked much more evenly this way and very tasty.
