How long until settlement paid to solocitor

Reached settlement via settlement meeting on 17th of June. Signed release forms, provided bank account details etc.
There was no sign of money.
So I emailed solicitor Monday, she responded same day. That money has not paid to them and that reception is going to chase that up.
    Havent heard anything since.
I don't want to be a pest, but how long does this process actually takes?

It's painstakingly and needlessly slow. There's no incentive to pay quickly unfortunately so most insurance companies /defendants quite literally take the piss and hold off on paying to suit themselves.

That's the long and short of it.

Having said that, some more proactive plaintiff solicitors might start rattling cages after 6-8 weeks say with the threat of an action for specific performance of the settlement agreement etc but at this time of year and in this specific year there may be a little bit less proactive work happening.
