Hi everyone. Last Summer I worked in a hotel where I worked 140 hours between May and December on a part time basis. I got another job this summer and i ceased employment with the hotel i worked in last summer however i was just wondering should i be entitled to my holiday pay from the old hotel that i worked in? i learnt from citizens info that i can get 8% pay for the hours i worked which is a equivalent to €116

Did they pay you holiday pay when you left?

Are you sure it wasn't in the pay pocket?

Sometimes for casual employees annual leave entitlement is included in their weekly/monthly pay, usually as a separate line item. I’ve also seen places lump the 8% into their hourly rate, though. Usually this would have been explained at the start of the contract.

I didn’t receive any holiday pay during my weekly pay.

Okay. Then just drop a line to whoever managed your payroll (whether this was your line manager or someone in payroll itself) and ask for clarification on your annual leave entitlement for your work last year, and when you can expect to receive it.
