    Hi,

Currently paying €58.99 to Eir for 150mb FTTH and out of contract since December. Thinking of moving to Airwire and their similar package Prostep 2 for €49? Has anyone done this and could you let me know what the process involved? Do I need to cancel with Eir etc

    Many thanks,

    D.

Yea you have to give Eir 30 day notice there a online form you can fill in that your changing isp. They will want there router back then tell Airwire when you can get connected and they do it for you.

    Hi there,

Just about 'downtime' when switching FTTH providers. From what I understand, the new provider needs the line to be inactive. So is the best case scenario about 24 hours of downtime? Have the old provider set to cancel service on a Monday and then the new provider due to go live on a Tuesday sort of thing...? Sounds difficult to get them both done on the same day?

    Cheers
