I'm looking to find some sort of table top camera system where the camera is controlled by software on a pc. Its for work and the intention would be that you could take photos of physical objects and documentation (wouldnt need word recognition). The person using it would see the picture on their pc monitor and when happy with the photo they can save it. It would be more intended for taking pictures of physical objects but occasionaly pictures might be needed to be taken of documents.

    Something along these lines

Anyone able to recommend something for doing this? Would document scanners like above be ok with physical objects and have a zoom so you could zoom in on section of the object and just saved photo of that section?
