Just like Aidan, am trying to find a big priced winner, or at least one who will finish in the frame.

Looking at the odds, there's not many (actually none) at a 'massive price' currently.

I see Stargazer is the only one that can be backed at >33/1, and only with 2 books as far as I can find out -
40s in Boyle, 50s with Coral. Looking at Irishracing site where only showing odds from 11 of the layers though.

The one I like at a 'big price' is RANCH HAND (20/1 Gen). Came fifth at Haydock 2 runs back.
Was running off 3lbs lower, in a similar grade race, on soft ground.
There were 16 runners that day, so the horse can go well in big fields, and was staying on at a trip that was 2fs shorter than t'Ebor.

Wasn't beaten far either over C & D last time out, coming 4th out of only 5 runners, and beaten by less
than 5 lengths. That race was on ground described as good; plus it was a Group 3 race.

I think the big field, likely no better than good to soft ground, and the high draw in stall 18 will be in his favour.

Out of the last 10 runnings, the winner has come out of this stall twice. This four yr old has only had 9 career runs, so should also
be open to improvement. I can see it going off shorter than the current price and coming in the first four here.

The trainer Andrew Balding also runs the decent Mare SHAILENE, who has the assistance of Oisin, and can also be backed at 20s.
I think this is more Murphy plumping for the bigger owner owned horse, or is retained to do so.

RANCH HAND, partnered by P J McDonald will do for me here.

The likely winner will come from the top of the betting methinks, so at 7 or 8/1 PABLO ESCOBARR I'll chance him as well.

Mullins isn't running True Self again this year for nothing.

A good 6th last year off 2lbs higher was absolutely tanking 2 furlongs out. I think it's an e/w bet to nothing at 11/1

Sandro Botticelli was a useful stayer on the flat who once had a rating of 107, but runs tomorrow off what looks a very workable mark of 97 over hurdles in the 6:55. First run in a handicap, it could be absolutely anything, but if it can get within 2 stone of its previous flat form, you'd think it has a chance here. Adam Wedge is a jockey on form as well so far this season, so I think it's worth an e/w punt. Complete outsider of the field at 33/1, let's see how it goes.
