Dog owner whose dog attacks others

There’s a woman who walks her dog in a park near me- her dog has attacked several dogs over the last 2/3 years & this year attacked my dog causing it a decent amount of damage to its face.

She has been told by a number of people to keep her dog on a lead but doesn’t - is there anything that can be done about this?

Do you contact a dog warden or who has authority here?

    Dog warden.

She should also have paid for the vet bills from the attack.

    What breed is it?

She did pay my vet bill alright.

Her dog is some form of a mix but half black lab anyway & it’s quite large

the fact the dog is still going around without a lead or muzzle is not on it's so dangerous considering it's history.
Yes you can complain to a dog warden alright or the cops to be honest with you.
If a dog attacked me or my dog like that i would give it such a kick into the air it wouldn't do it again

I was kicking it, trust me, but it didn’t get it off- it’s a big dog.

I’m not sure would it fall under the jurisdiction of the guards but if it does then I’d go to them as it’s not a great scenario to be honest.

Report. The dog will do real damage some day if not dealt with now. The owner im guessing doesn't have the level of intelligence to realise the dog is a danger or more worryingly doesn't care.

To who though? The dog warden or guards?

I’ll do it this week once I know the correct route

Either the guards or the dog warden can enforce the dog control regs, but at least if you contact the dog warden, you know you're going to get a quick and streamlined response... though some individual guards are super on dog related cases.
Chances are they'll be either fined or prosecuted for failing to have their dog under effectual control. You never know, they may already be known to the warden.

jesus that's awful, i love all dogs, but from what you've said that dog is a ticking time bomb. Hope your own dog is ok after it
