We swapped to Eir recently and our Sony Bravia TV which was 1000% fine on the old Vodafone Router will not successfully connect to this new Eir Router over WIFI under any circumstances.

I've tried everything under the sun including updating the firmware on the Sony TV. Resets, forgetting WIFI config, trying the different freq bands...everything.

Nothing works, I'm absolutely sure its the Eir Router that's at fault.

Wondering if anyone else is having this problem?

Take a look at what bands wifi 802.11a/b/g/n and band 2.4Ghz / 5Ghz or both on/off, are used on the older router and match settings on the new router, also take note of what wifi security type is set on the old router, as some older TVs may only use WPA and not have the firmware/hardware to deal with the newer wifi standards etc. Matching settings is good place to start.
