As it says, need a 10 speed shimano chainset, standard or compact - not fussed. It's for the winter build.

If anything has anything let me know.

    Thanks!

I have a 105 compact chainset if you are interested AFIK all in the box pulled it off a couple of years ago to replace with SRAM red. Might have some ultegra bits

IN fact just opened the box to check it is Ultegra the only 105 bit is the levers drive chain is ultegra

i only recently learned that there's no real difference between a 10 and 11 speed crankset. the width difference between a 10 speed and 11 speed chain is the outer width, not the inner width, which is not a concern with a chainset (it is for a cassette though).

Would be interested than in the chainset if available - as long as in decent looking conditions (aesthetics important!) and won't need rings replaced next week! Can you PM me price and location? Maybe send a pic with the other Ultegra bits as well?? Might be tempted by them also.

Yes - 10 & 11 Cranksets both work with 10 speed. Have done this before - no problems with it.

I would need €60.00 for crankset €120 for lot. Two derailleurs long and short cage front mech 2 105 brake calipers 2 ultegra levers Bottom bracket and chain- few scuffs and marks but functionality good. I am in Co Meath

    120 for the lot.

Yeah, I'd do that. All looks well, i'd say most of the bits would clean up a bit as well.

Now - the problem is I'm in Kildare. I'm trying to stick by lockdown, I think we are being extended by 2 weeks today also. Could you wait a few weeks?

If TooObvious changes his mind or fails to collect it I'll take it all. I am in Meath too.

Super, thanks for that. I definitely will be stuck in lockdown alright, and can't finagle a work reason to go to Meath unfortunately.

Are you still interested now lockdown is over for you

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 295 ✭✭TooObvious

Sorry, for the delay. Yes lockdown is over, but I actually went off and bought a new crank last night! I have all the other stuff so won't need this now. Sorry about that. The frame I got was just too shiny to be putting old bits on! Looks like you have a lot of interest otherwise.

    Thanks again.

    @benneca1

    I'll take it off you.

PM me please whenever suits you for me to come around and collect it.

Hey, have you got any parts left?
If you list what you have, I may be interested.
    Thanks, Nick

Nick I never got round to cleaning and photoing it. Its a full groupset levers shifters calipers crankset etc. Pulled off bike and put in box.
With lockdown and all I kind of gave up If you're stuck for something get back to me

    Thanks for the reply.
Are the remaining parts 6700 or 6800? (Apologies - the thread gets difficult to follow there)
Either way if you list what you have, we can sort something out. Photos would be a bonus
    Cheers, Nick

I'll take that, thanks. If you are based around Central Dublin I could collect (still 30 is OK for me).
