A friend took some photos of a child's party on her Samsung phone yesterday.

Today, she couldn't find them anywhere on her phone. She didn't delete them and she doesn't use the cloud or Samsung drive to back up.

Any ideas as to how she might recover the photos?

Does the phone have an SD card inserted?
If so was it the default storage location for the camera?

Have you used a files app to navigate to the default camera folder to see if they're there?

If yes, have you tried an app like this?

Might have just gone to a different directory, try sending a new WhatsApp message, tap the paperclip, image and then go for all media, if they show up there they're on the phone, if they're not she'll have to keep looking for other solutions
