Update on Tonto

    I promised this way back!

Tonto, the small neglected and inbred island cat who arrived at my door a while ago.. Starving and skinny.

He is now a fine looking cat! Gradually he has settled deeply. There are two great loves in hi s life that are interlinked. Food and me!

All he thinks about is food. He will do anything. He still lives outside and if I open the door even a crack, in he races, kitchen first, then bedroom and hoovers any food he can find. I limit him now to 2 meals a day and if he cries a lot, a small amount of kibble. He is like the early Barnardo kids who could not go to sleep unless they had a crust of bread in their hands.

And me! He attaches to my ankles as soon as I emerge, purring and curling round me. It took a while but I can stroke him anywhere now even his head. He loves that. When he dives into a food bowl I pick him up from behind by the front shoulders and never a hint of aggression.

He "talks" nonstop. And my other cats are very slow to get used to him but there is no real aggression.

His " owner" has no idea what he is missing - even if he has any idea where he is. is .

    Happy cat; happy me.
One more saved. So much sheer love in him!
