Checking used car before buying, Dublin

I am planning to buy an inexpensive used car for learning driving(2-3K range). I have no experience in buying used cars. Can anyone recommend a mechanic (Dublin area) who can inspect the car for any damage/repair for a reasonable fee before I can buy with confidence?

Did he hook a diagnostic up to the car?

I wouldn't be so sure, as was pointed out to you before!

There's questions about him if he is even a real mechanic. He seems to just be a chancer trying to sell cars that are not road worthy.

He has some madness posted on his facebook page trying to scaremonger people into using him.

    Avoid at all costs.

Dublin Diagnostic fella checked out a car I was selling very thoroughly, Didn’t find anything wrong with it. Hooked up diagnostic to it, visual check, test drive, history check, and a chat with your man buying the car

Hes an absolute chancer, sorry to say it. I could hook up a diagnostic, visual check and history check and know feck all about cars.

He's a wheeler dealer and probably not even a certified mechanic. He's know for selling death trap cars.
