Help plumbing in dishwasher...

    Hi,

I have a dishwasher (second hand) to plumb in to a new build house. I think it's easy enough, I just need a couple of pointers.....

I'm ok with connecting the cold water feed, it's the exact same as a washing machine yes? I've done that before.

It's the waste pipe I'm not sure of...the sink plumbing has a extra junction onto the drainage, which I can only assume must be for the dishwasher (or washing machine)? It's not open though, there's no hole for the water so you can't just pop on the waste pipe.....do I remove this, or do you chop the end off, or do I replace it with something else?....image attached so you can see the pipe.

Once the waste pipe is on, does it need sealing or anything else I'm unaware of? I can't risk a leak as I've got new wooden floors in the area!!

    Thanks for any help.

Chop off the end and use a jubilee clip to secure
