I cracked the screen on my phone so it doesn't swipe. Is it possible to retrieve numbers that were on the phone by plugging in to a laptop. I have been able to retrieve photos this way.

Go to this link to see if your contacts are synced to your Google account.

If you can still read the screen, get a USB OTG adapter and plug a mouse into it.
Once you restart, you might be able to navigate to your contacts and export them.

Good idea, I'll keep that little trick in mind for the future.

So I won't need to unlock the phone screen then because it's cracked and it won't do anything

You can unlock the screen with the mouse.

It worked a treat. I was able to work everything on the phone with the mouse. I retrieved my contacts.

Thanks a million for your help. Only wish I had posted here first before I ripped the phone apart.
