Driveway surfaces - contrasting colour

Not sure where to put this.

At the stage of laying driveway for parents.
The plan was to lay down some tarmac and then have some area around the house done in a non slip surface - probably a butterscotch type colour. Rear yard, side and front to be done in tarmac. Area at rear door to include bins area and path to garage and around back and far side to be covered in the non slip surface too.

However, I'm now thinking that the contrast between the two might be a bit harsh. Any advice and/or suggestion on how to do this? They do not want exposed concrete so that is definitely out.
