Connecting Laptop to TV

    I want to watch some video's saved on my laptop on the tv, its an old tv which has one port(that I can see) large port currently used for connecting to dvd player.

    Laptop doesnt have such large ports, just the regular sized ones for mouse/printer.

    Is it possible to marry the two machines simply?
