    Hi,

Looking for some help and guidance.

Went to the main dealer in my area and found a nice i20 model. Brought for a test drive and was very happy until I noticed the car was originally from Scotland.

The main dealer has it on Irish plates and fully NCT’d. They told me they will supply car tell check and that most of their cars are brought in from the UK.

Should I be aware of anything else ?
A lot of the i20’s for sale at the min have UK service history but are on Irish plates.

Normally a dealer won't register the car here until it's sold as it will add an owner. Do you know how long it's on Irish plates? Could have been another Irish owner since it came from UK.

If you put the Irish reg in to cartell.ie it will also include the history of it's previous UK plate.

I'd definitely check that out to make sure that's all above board but imported cars are very common.

Yes, don't take the dealers report, do your own full history check.
