I've only ever converted a panel van, and I'm looking at my next project at the minute.

Anyone with any thoughts on a Luton conversion?

    Read about these.
    Mileage being one disadvantage.
More complex to create access from cab to box.

Many varying opinions on the look of the box unless it’s a low rider.

Our neighbours converted a Merc Luton the extra space was fab, they had it insured on their garage insurance though. It had two dinettes side by side and a king size bed on gas struts you could lift with a finger with motorcycle garage underneath you could step down into.

I considered it but travel seats in the back would be a huge issue to get signed off as lutons are not designed for passengers.

Probably need to get insured through the club and their SQI.

Great point on the extra passenger seats

Signoff by who, the SQI? Realistically it wouldn't be too difficult to ensure they were fixed to the chassis in some for or another.

What club are you referring to?
